FOUNDER
The Purvis Law Firm was founded by Michael C. Purvis. Mr. Purvis has over 30 years of experience as an attorney and business advisor. He has served as in-house counsel for major multi-national corporations, including The Walt Disney Company, Viacom, The Carborundum Company, and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. (the fourth largest toy company in the U.S.). He also served as a Vice President Legal & Business Affairs for a major promotions and marketing agency for over 10 years.
Mr. Purvis has extensive experience in all practice areas of the firm, as both a litigator and transactional attorney. He has counseled many of the largest companies in the United States, as well as major ad agencies and marketing agencies, in over a thousand marketing and promotional campaigns. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the District of Columbia, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Mr. Purvis is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of California and serves as the Managing Partner of Collins Purvis Properties, a real estate brokerage and management company. He also serves as the Managing Partner of Global Rights Management, an intangible assets management company that brokers, manages, trades and enforces a wide range of intangible assets and intellectual property rights, including but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, celebrity rights, product rights, and financial rights.
